Dentist

Dr. Robert Saunders

For more than 25 years, Dr. Robert Saunders has been dedicated to helping patients and families in the Fargo-Moorhead community achieve healthy, confident smiles. Since purchasing the practice from Dr. John Volkering in 1999, he has built his reputation on providing high-quality dental care in a welcoming, patient-centered environment where people of all ages feel comfortable.

Originally from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Dr. Saunders earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1995. He is passionate about lifelong learning and continually expanding his knowledge to provide the latest techniques and best possible care for his patients. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Dakota Dental Association, and the Spear Faculty Study Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he collaborates with fellow dentists and pursues advanced continuing education.

Dr. Saunders believes that great dentistry starts with building lasting relationships. He enjoys getting to know his patients, taking the time to listen to their concerns, and creating personalized treatment plans that fit their individual needs and goals. Whether it's helping a child feel comfortable during their first dental visit or restoring a smile that gives someone renewed confidence, his greatest reward is seeing patients leave the office smiling.

Outside of dentistry, family is at the center of Dr. Saunders' life. He and his wife, Mary, who teaches at Oak Grove Lutheran School, have three sons—Ian, Ryan, and Aidan—who keep the family busy with college, careers, and high school activities. When he's away from the office, you'll most likely find him hunting, fishing, or spending time at the lake with his family. He appreciates the strong sense of community that makes this area such a wonderful place to live and feels grateful to care for the dental needs of the friends, neighbors, and families who have trusted him with their smiles for generations.

Dentist

Dr. Brittany Krog

Dr. Brittany Krog is a general dentist with 13 years of experience caring for patients of all ages. She earned her dental degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2013 and is passionate about creating a comfortable, welcoming experience for every patient.

Building relationships is at the heart of her approach to dentistry. She takes time to listen, communicate clearly, and help patients understand not only their treatment options, but why recommended care matters. Her patient-focused philosophy, attention to detail, and commitment to integrity guide her in providing care that is right for each individual.

Dr. Krog is also passionate about lifelong learning and staying current with advances in dentistry. She regularly participates in continuing education and particularly values her involvement with Spear Education and study club, where she can learn alongside other dental professionals and continually refine her clinical skills and knowledge. She believes ongoing education allows her to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care and the best possible experience for her patients.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, and their three children, Paxton, Beckham, and Ellery. Their family loves traveling, spending time at the lake, being involved in church, and cheering on their children in theater and sports. She also enjoys continuing education and is committed to continually growing as a dentist.

Kadrie Bittner

Hi, I’m Kadrie! I grew up on a farm near Cooperstown, ND, and moved to Fargo for college to pursue a career in dental hygiene. I graduated from M State in Moorhead in 2016 and have worked for Dr Saunders and Dr Krog ever since!

Over the years, my patients have become my friends, and I genuinely look forward to seeing them at every appointment! Helping each and every one have a healthier and brighter smile is so rewarding, and I truly love what I do! I feel so lucky to have a career that allows me to build meaningful relationships with the people I care for.

Outside of work, life is busy, and my heart is full! My husband Tanner and I live in Fargo with our daughter Parker and our Vizsla Reba. In my free time, I love to read, get caught up in a new TV show, watch my favorite sports teams- especially cheering loud and proud for the Minnesota Vikings and I spend my summer weekends with my family on Lake Ashtabula!

Angie Bergan

Hi, my name is Angie! I have over a decade of experience as a dental hygienist and have more than 20 years in the dental field. I am passionate about my work and dedicated to my patients. I truly enjoy building meaningful relationships and taking the time to get to know each individual while providing encouraging and personalized dental education.

I take immense pride in what I do and feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful patient base.

Outside of work, I am married and have one daughter, who is a nurse. I enjoy spending time at the lake, traveling, shopping, and making memories with my family and friends. I also have two energetic German Shorthair Pointers and a Ragdoll cat who keep life fun and entertaining!

I truly love being a dental hygienist and look forward to seeing my patients at every appointment. My goal is to make each visit a positive and comfortable experience while helping my patients achieve and maintain a healthy, healthy smile.

Mariah Bigelow

Hello! My name is Mariah Bigelow, and I'm a Registered Dental Hygienist. I'm passionate about helping my patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through gentle care, education, and preventive oral health. My goal is to make every visit comfortable and positive while giving you the knowledge and tools to keep your smile healthy for years to come.

When I'm not in the office, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband and our son. You can also find me reading a good fantasy book, hiking, or gaming with friends. At home, I'm happily outnumbered by my furry babies—my German Shepherd, Zeda, and my two cats, Ophelia and Echo—who definitely keep life entertaining! I look forward to meeting you and helping you smile with confidence.

Libby O’Neil

Hi, I’m Libby! I’m a Registered Dental Hygienist who is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles in a comfortable and welcoming environment. I graduated from North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) with my degree in Dental Hygiene and recently earned my Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Minnesota State University, Mankato.

I’ve been practicing for two years and have had the pleasure of being part of the Saunders & Krog Dental team for over a year.

I enjoy getting to know my patients and believe that building trust and providing personalized care are key to making every visit a positive experience. My goal is to help patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident about their oral health.

Outside of the office, I love spending time with my friends and family, trying new restaurants, traveling, golfing, and enjoying the outdoors. I look forward to meeting you and helping you keep your smile healthy for years to come!

Alexis Boyer

I joined Dr Saunders and Dr Krog's team in January 2023. I grew up in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota and graduated from M-State in Moorhead with a dental assisting degree in 2018. After discovering my passion for patient care and oral health, I continued my education and earned my Dental Hygiene degree in 2021.

Outside of work, I am married and the proud mom of two beautiful girls. I enjoy spending time with my family at the lake during the summer and snowboarding in the mountains during the winter.

My favorite part of being a dental hygienist is building long-lasting relationships with patients while helping them achieve and maintain healthy smiles, I like educating patients on the importance of oral health and making every visit a positive and comfortable experience. My goal is for everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcome and leave with a great experience at our office.

Sam Clark

Hi! I’m Sam, a Registered Dental Hygienist here at Saunders and Krog. I’m a proud Fargo native and have loved calling this community home. I graduated from NDSCS in Wahpeton in 2020. One of my favorite parts about being a hygienist is getting to build genuine, lasting relationships with my patients while making them feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair.

Outside of the office, I’m married to my best friend, Darian, who I met while attending NDSCS. We have a spoiled dog named Jaxx who loves to go on walks and play any chance he gets. I’m also a very proud auntie and love spending time with my nieces—they definitely keep life fun! I’m happiest when I’m spending time with family and friends, shopping, or relaxing at the lake.

I’m so happy to be a part of the Saunders and Krog team and look forward to all the smiles, conversations, and memories to come!

Alaina Bye

Hi I'm Alaina! I graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State) with my degree in Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene and began my career at Dr. Saunders and Dr. Krog in July 2026.

I strive to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard and comfortable asking questions. I am passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for throughout their dental experience while building personal relationships with new and existing patients.

Outside of the office, you'll find me running, going to concerts, or traveling anywhere with mountains. I live in Fargo with my fiancé, our son, and our two cats, Pickle and Freddy.

I graduated from Northwest Technical College in May of 2002 and have had the pleasure of working alongside Dr. Saunders since September 2002.
One of my favorite parts of my job is the relationships I’ve built with our patients over the years.

Getting to know them, making them feel comfortable, and helping create a positive dental experience is something I truly value. There is nothing better than seeing a patient leave with a healthy smile and a positive experience!

Outside the office, I am married to my husband, Tyler, and we have two children, Ben and Kaylee. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, spending time at the lake with family and friends, and traveling.
I’m grateful for the many years I’ve spent caring for our patients and look forward to continuing to build those meaningful relationships!

Hi, I'm Amber! I've been a dental assistant for over nine years and truly enjoy helping patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visits. I graduated from North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) in 2017 and have loved being part of this practice for the past five years.

Building relationships with patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles is one of the best parts of my job.

My husband, Sean, and I both grew up in Minnesota, and we now call Wahpeton, North Dakota, home, where we're raising our son, Archer, along with our two dogs. When we're not busy with work and family life, you'll usually find us outdoors. I love hunting, fishing, and spending as much time outside as possible with my family.

I look forward to meeting you and helping make your dental visits as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!

I have been a dental assistant for 14 years and graduated from Northwest Technical College in Bemidji in 2012. I started with Dr. Saunders and Dr. Krog in May 2026 and have enjoyed getting to know all the wonderful staff and patients here. Getting to help people achieve and maintain a healthy smile has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career!

Office Manager

Pam Scheffler

With more than 27 years of experience, I have had the pleasure of serving as both a dental assistant and office manager for Dr. Robert Saunders and Dr. Brittany Krog. As the first friendly face you'll see when you arrive and the last person you'll visit before you leave, I strive to make every patient's experience welcoming, comfortable, and stress-free.

I graduated from Moorhead Area Technical College in 1985 and enjoy helping patients understand their insurance benefits and answering any questions they may have. My goal is to ensure every visit goes as smoothly as possible, from scheduling appointments to navigating insurance coverage.

Outside the office, I have been married to my husband, Rich, for 41 years. We live on our family farm outside of Barnesville, Minnesota, where we stay busy with farming throughout the summer. We also share our home with our two cats. During the winter, we enjoy traveling to warmer destinations, and when time allows in the summer, we love relaxing at our lake cottage on Lake Lizzie.

Front Office

Kimberly Neideffer

I have had the privilege of working in dentistry for nearly 30 years. After earning my dental assisting degree in 1997, I spent 15 years as a dental assistant before transitioning into a front-office role. My clinical background has given me a well-rounded understanding of the patient experience and allows me to help patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their dental care journey.

I truly enjoy getting to know our patients, building lasting relationships, answering questions, and helping each person feel welcomed and supported from the moment they contact our office. I also value the strong professional relationships and friendships I have developed with colleagues throughout the dental community over the years. Originally from New Salem, North Dakota, I now live in West Fargo with my husband. Outside the office, we enjoy traveling, cheering on the Bison football team, and taking trips to Deadwood, South Dakota. Most of all, my favorite pastime is spending quality time with my family and friends and creating lasting memories together.
